if you have not already watched the feb 2015 broadcast, go to approx.

it has an elderly sister talking about being old in this world...a long time pioneer who probably thought the end would have come years ago...as the society told her many times.. now she is told to be on a mission to get young ones to also pioneer, and watch for the not so subtle condemntion of higher education!.

sickening stuff........ they missed the obvious elephant in the room.... a life wasted on nothing...now she has no money, and lived waiting for a fairy tale!

It saddened me when I saw her. It reminded me of my seventy year old sister who gave her whole life, never married, lives in the lowest rental one room apartment. Not one visit from anyone.

An elder one time dropped off a piece of fish in tinfoil and couldn't stay. Later on the co asked her if she had received any shepherding calls and she said in all her fifty-five years of pioneering and special pioneering she never once had a shepherding call from any of her elders. A few days later, that elder that had dropped off the fish came with the co and was made to apologise to her for lying and saying that was the shepherding call. The co asked my sister if he had a bible, was wearing a suite and if he had come with another brother. She said no, nothing.

It kills me to think she is happy living like this. I have asked her to let us come and pick her up and she come live with us but she has already stated she has to follow theocractic procedure where she is not suppose to talk to my df'd husband. Wait until one day her loser elders tell her she has no choice but to have us look after her because those filthy rich elders won't Most of them own two properties and boats yet all they could give her for all those years of service is a chunk of thawed uncooked fish wrapped in tinfoil..

i researched their own material and i found some good info on how they don't mind control anyone.

I sent this today to one of our exelders who keeps going to others bringing up our names. ( according to the RCMP website on stalking, just mentioning our names to others is called indirectly stalking)This time they are telling some that they are sorry what happened to us but it needs not to be anyone's concern. I told the person if they were sorry, then they should come and say that to our faces. They will never do that. But stalking they are pros at.

I googled: is stalking illegal in Canada and the RCMP web site came up. It explained the jw's dead on. So I emailed the RCMP website. Told them how we were stalked all summer by an elder on roller blades and caught him at the end of our lane a couple of times but he wouldn't come in and then these goons who sat outside our property for almost four hours the one Sat morning until they got my husband and df'd him at the end of our lane. The RCMP emailed us back and told us that we need to seek a lawyer.

It made me wonder after reading the RCMP site if you tell someone to stop calling on you and they still persist, that would be stalking as well. Especially when you are writing everything down about them trying to trap them into another conversation for the next visit. A visit they don't want.

So my dad comes from vacation and ???!!!

hello folks.....so in an earlier thread i started, you'd realize that my father and i are quite close, we talk about almost everything/anything.. he traveled outside the country (he's semi-retired), enjoying the fruitage of his hard labor during his younger years.

so he recently returned home after he and mum went away to catchup with some old friends in another country.. upon his returning home, and subsequently to the meetings, he was told that a decision was made to strip him of his "field overseer" role, but will still continue to be an elder.. the reason...he goes away for too long too often...you can't be away from your congregation for three months out of the year!!!???

has anyone else had this experience before?

The hall here in Elmira, the coordinator goes away for eight weeks to Florida in the winter, a month in the summer and visits his adopted daughter and her husbands hall regularly. He was seldom seen. Both are retired. The wife retired from working in a medical lab with a nice pay out retirement and he retired from his fathers insurance company which was handed over to him. Both never ever pioneered but yet he would counsel young ones from getting an education and just pioneer. Him and his wife have mastered the meaning hypocrites to a "T". He is still the coordinator in this hall.

LMAO! Did anyone catch the sausage links falling on the floor and the dim wit picking them back up as though it were common procedure. He couldn't even hang them right. Now think of a butcher who apprenticed in germany and got his papers just to have someone like this guy with no training tell him what to do. Don't miss those days at all!!!!

looks like the canadian bethel is following in the footsteps of big brother from new york.

i heard through the grapevine that a number of couples have been given their notice.

some of these folks have been in bethel for over 30 years.

Where we are in southern Ontario, we have OHIP which pays for your doctors visits as well as your hospitals I tend to get sick often needing med therefore we have insurance which cost me $1,500.00 per year. My sister who has been single all her life is in Quebec and she can only get a welfare every month of $600.00 per month. She chooses to live in a two room (bathroom and then tiny living/bedroom,kitchen) She has no medical plan.

As far as a retirement plan, I've never heard of anything of the sorts. You work, you invest all on your own. We will get an old age pay out at sixty-five but it's not much.

Two years ago before we left, the bethel was housing seven hundred brothers and sisters. I doesn't surprise me since there were many who were being shuffled around into house cleaning, green house and maintenance ect,,,

You hardly saw any elderly ones there(on the floor) when bringing ones through on tours. It was all young energetic ones that gave the place a feel of "enthusiasm" but only to those that didn't know better.

I have a sister who is 70 and all I asked was how can the holy spirit keep making mistakes and changing their doctrines. How can that be a helper directing us. She freaked out over the phone first admitting it was her fault for not remembering everything and that I was shaking her faith. She agrees it's rotten in her hall and every hall she's been in but she will wait on Jehovah. I haven't heard from her since and she does not email me.

This poor woman lives all alone living off of welfare which is $600.00 per month. Never married and gave her whole life as a special pioneer/pioneer to this filthy cult. Her health is really bad yet she doesn't realize that it will be us that looks after her when her elders tell her she's not their problem. She still accepts what ever we give her and is very thankful but on the other hand when there is a reno, there she is making trays of cabbage rolls and butter tarts for them which she cannot afford.

For sure it's a cult!!!!! I hope that you will have some time left with them when it's time for the org to dump them on to who ever will look after them and hopefully it will be you:) Being patient is all you can do for now.

I kept the info that someone posted here and it's in the elders manualHere is something the Elders won’t tell you.

According to the Elders rule book (Shepherd the Flock of God), you cannot be disfellowshipped for associating with a disfellowshipped person as long as you are not having “spiritual association or openly criticizing the disfellowshipping decision”.

Here is what it says in Chapter 10 of the “Shepherd the Flock of God” book:

“If members of the congregation are known to have undue association with disfellowshipped or disassociated relatives who are not in the household, elders should counsel and reason with those members of the congregation from the Scriptures. Review with them information from the “God’s Love” book, pages 207-208; The Watchtower of April 15, 1988, pages 26-30; or the article “Display Christian Loyalty When a Relative Is Disfellowshipped” in the August 2002 Our Kingdom Ministry. If it is clear that a Christian is violating the spirit of the disfellowshipping decree in this regard and does not respond to counsel, it may be that he would not qualify for congregation privileges, which require one to be exemplary. He would not be dealt with judicially unless there is persistent spiritual association or he openly criticizes the disfellowshipping decision.” – (2010 – Shepherd the Flock of God, Chapter 10, Page 116) on page 116 of chapter 10.

we have spent the last few weeks in training at the montgomery facility (near walkill) there are 6 couples that were trained to go on the road as ldc field representatives of the branch.

There's a letter that went out stating an upcoming meeting on what this new department at bethel is all about. Maybe someone can post it. More skinning of the sheep before their slaughter. I wish they would wake up. So sad.
